Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sushi Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will craft authentic and visually stunning sushi dishes that delight our guests and elevate their dining experience. Your expertise in sushi preparation, knife skills, and food handling will be essential in maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and presentation. Responsibilities Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with precision and artistry Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and handled according to food safety standards Develop and execute innovative menu items that align with restaurant concepts and customer preferences Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station, including proper knife handling and sanitation practices Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs for restocking or ordering supplies Uphold high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety at all times Requirements Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or fine dining setting Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques specific to sushi making Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures Experience with menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and catering is a plus Excellent attention to detail, creativity, and ability to work efficiently under pressure Background in the food industry with relevant culinary experience in Japanese cuisine or related fields Familiarity with dietary department standards and dietary aide experience is advantageous Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Join our team to bring authentic sushi artistry to life!
