Job Description

et al. in Kahala Mkt. is hiring a Sous Chef to join our team. We are seeking high energy, creative culinary professionals who are passionate about food and delivering exceptional experiences to all guests. The Sous Chef will work under the direction of the Chef de Cuisine and must observe and enforce all company policies, house rules and guiding principles. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: supporting the Chef de Cuisine assistance with scheduling, training, development and oversight of all culinary staff delegating responsibilities to the culinary crew on duty maintaining product quality standards observe and enforce company standard operating procedures assistance with addressing culinary staff concerns and stressful situations with urgency, dignity & tact ensuring that all culinary staff personnel are courteous to customers ensuring all safety and sanitation guidelines are followed The Sous Chef must have the ability to work well and communicate well with others, receive and provide direction; maintain a positive attitude toward the work and company. The Sous Chef must also maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance, observe company dress code, and support the company culture, values, goals and mission. This is a full-time salaried position which requires open availability. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical/dental/drug/vision insurance and retirement benefits.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age. High school education with some college background preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have prior culinary management experience in a high-volume food service establishment. Knife and cooking skills required Must have TB Clearance.
