GYOTAKU JAPANESE RESTAURANT!
We are looking for passionate individuals who love creating delicious sushi dishes. Whether you're a seasoned sushi chef or just starting out, we offer competitive pay rates from $16 to $24 per hour plus tips, based on experience. This position is available for both part-time and full-time roles with morning and evening shifts available. Sushi Maker Pay Grades (Plus approximately $2 to $4 per hour in tips, depending on sales and shifts worked, higher tips on weekend shifts) Sushi III
  • Trainee through ability to work maki rolling station expertly $16
  • $18/hr. Sushi II
  • Ability to work maki and nigiri stations expertly $18
  • $21/hr. Sushi I
  • Ability to work maki, nigiri, fish cutting stations expertly $20
  • $24/hr.
Responsibilities:
Prepare sushi rice and ingredients for sushi rolls. Roll, shape, and assemble sushi dishes according to recipes. Ensure the freshness and quality of all sushi products. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the sushi preparation area. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Sushi Maker or similar role preferred but not required. Training provided. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and cleanliness. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
