Job Description

Chef de Cuisine Jackie Rey's Ohana Grill | Kailua-Kona, Hawaiʻi At Jackie Rey's, we believe great food starts with great people. We're seeking a passionate, hands-on Chef de Cuisine to lead our kitchen team, uphold our culinary standards, and help deliver memorable dining experiences to our guests and local community. What You'll Do Lead and inspire the culinary team through mentorship and daily coaching Execute and maintain Jackie Rey's food quality and presentation standards Manage kitchen operations, including prep, service, and sanitation Develop and train team members while fostering a positive culture Control food costs, labor costs, and inventory levels Ensure compliance with all food safety and health regulations Collaborate on menu development, seasonal features, and special events Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and efficiency Work closely with front-of-house leadership to create exceptional guest experiences What We're Looking For Minimum 3 years of culinary leadership experience in a high-volume restaurant Proven experience managing kitchen teams and developing talent Strong understanding of food costing, inventory management, and labor control Excellent communication and leadership skills Ability to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced environment Passion for hospitality, creativity, and continuous improvement Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Culinary degree preferred but not required. Equivalent experience is highly valued.
