Job Description

Join the award-winning team at Hewn, a nationally recognized, independently owned artisan bakery in Evanston! At Hewn, we are passionate about crafting naturally fermented artisan breads and pastries daily, using locally sourced, organic flour and grains. We are seeking an experienced, dedicated Pastry Baker to join our team, bake and craft our signature pastries, and contribute to daily production. Key Requirements Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of professional baking experience (Culinary/Pastry degree is preferred).
Skills:
Ability to work efficiently both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Reliability:
Must have reliable early-morning transportation for early morning shifts.
Certifications & Physical Needs:
• Valid ServSafe certification (Required). Ability to lift up to 50 lbs comfortably. A strong commitment to producing high-quality, consistent work every day. 💼
