In this pivotal role, you will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. Your leadership will inspire the kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences, whether in fine dining settings, catering events, or banquet functions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise, manage food production processes, and contribute to a lively hospitality environment that values innovation and teamwork. Duties Support the Executive Chef in supervising all kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and plating to maintain top-tier quality standards. Lead and motivate kitchen staff through effective team management, ensuring smooth shift operations and high morale. Oversee food safety practices and ensure compliance with health regulations across all culinary activities. Manage inventory control and food handling procedures to minimize waste and optimize stock levels for various departments including banquet, catering, and restaurant service. Assist with menu planning by developing innovative dishes that align with the restaurant's concept and customer preferences. Coordinate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs while maintaining flavor and presentation excellence. Supervise catering events and banquet functions, ensuring timely execution and impeccable service delivery. Monitor food production processes to ensure efficiency, consistency, and adherence to recipes and standards. Oversee shift management tasks such as scheduling, training new team members, and maintaining operational flow during busy periods. Experience Proven culinary experience in fine dining environments with a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and presentation. Demonstrated supervisory experience leading kitchen teams in fast-paced settings. Extensive banquet experience with knowledge of large-scale food production for events and gatherings. Familiarity with dietary requirements and managing special menus within a hospitality or restaurant context. Strong understanding of inventory management, food safety standards, and kitchen management systems. Experience in catering operations or restaurant management is highly desirable. Background in food industry roles that involve menu planning, shift management, and food service operations.
