Duties Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality. Lead and supervise culinary staff, fostering a positive team environment while managing shift schedules and delegating responsibilities effectively. Develop and refine menus that reflect current culinary trends, dietary requirements, and guest preferences, ensuring variety and creativity. Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs. Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and sanitation standards through regular training and inspections. Coordinate catering events and banquet functions, delivering exceptional service that exceeds client expectations. Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs while maintaining menu integrity. Supervise food handling procedures, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients. Maintain high standards of hospitality by overseeing food service operations during peak hours and special events. Support restaurant management by contributing to staff training initiatives, quality assurance processes, and continuous improvement efforts. Qualifications Proven experience in fine dining environments with a strong background in food production and kitchen management. Extensive banquet experience combined with supervising or leadership roles within the food industry. Knowledge of dietary requirements, catering services, and restaurant operations is essential. Demonstrated expertise in inventory management, food handling, menu planning, and shift management. Skilled in culinary techniques including cooking methods, food presentation, and kitchen safety protocols. Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams, manage conflicts, and foster a collaborative work environment. Familiarity with food service management software and inventory control systems is preferred. Excellent communication skills combined with a passion for hospitality excellence.
