In this role, you will lead the preparation and presentation of authentic Indian dishes, ensuring exceptional quality and consistency. Your expertise will contribute to creating a vibrant dining experience that delights our guests and elevates our restaurant's reputation. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong background in food production, kitchen management, and team leadership within a fast-paced hospitality environment. Responsibilities Prepare, cook, and present a wide variety of traditional and contemporary Indian dishes with precision and flair. Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food safety, hygiene standards, and inventory control to ensure smooth workflow. Manage food production processes, including menu planning, portion control, and maintaining high-quality standards for all offerings. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster teamwork and professional growth. Coordinate catering events and banquet services, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality Indian cuisine for large groups. Monitor inventory levels regularly, order supplies as needed, and manage food handling procedures to minimize waste and control costs. Enforce strict adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation protocols across all kitchen activities. Skills Extensive culinary experience with a focus on Indian cuisine; fine dining experience preferred. Proven supervising experience in a busy restaurant or banquet setting. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and dietary department practices. Skilled in food preparation, cooking techniques, menu planning, and food service management. Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead a diverse kitchen staff effectively. Experience in inventory management, inventory control, and cost optimization. Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of catering operations, shift management, and restaurant management principles.
