Job Description

The Executive Head Chef is responsible for overseeing daily culinary operations, ensuring meals are prepared with quality, nutrition, and customer satisfaction in mind. This role leads the kitchen team, manages food service operations, maintains compliance with health and safety regulations, and helps create a positive dining experience. Key Responsibilities Culinary Leadership Plan and prepare menus that are nutritious, appealing, and accommodate a variety of dietary needs. Oversee kitchen operations, including food preparation, presentation, and service quality. Supervise, train, and schedule kitchen team members. Ensure consistency, portion control, and quality standards are maintained. Support team development through coaching and regular communication. Compliance & Safety Maintain compliance with all applicable health, sanitation, and food safety regulations. Ensure cleanliness and safety standards are followed throughout kitchen and storage areas. Monitor food handling, storage, and temperature logs. Ensure proper labeling and rotation of food items. Budgeting & Inventory Assist in managing food and labor costs. Order food, supplies, and equipment while minimizing waste. Maintain inventory and support regular inventory counts. Service & Engagement Work collaboratively to accommodate dietary requests, allergies, and preferences. Support special events, themed meals, and community functions. Gather feedback to help improve dining services and menu offerings. Qualifications Culinary degree or equivalent experience in food service or culinary management. Previous experience in a high-volume kitchen environment, including leadership responsibilities preferred. Knowledge of food safety standards and dietary accommodations. Current food handler or ServSafe certification preferred (or ability to obtain upon hire). Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Passion for hospitality and providing an excellent dining experience. Work Environment Fast-paced kitchen environment. May require evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

$75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
