This role is integral to ensuring a high-quality dining experience that meets the nutritional needs and preferences of our residents.
Position Overview:
The Full-Time Chef prepares meals in accordance with established menus and dietary guidelines, maintains food safety standards, and supports the kitchen operations. The ideal candidate is passionate about cooking for seniors and committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook meals following planned menus and resident dietary requirements Ensure food safety and sanitation protocols are consistently met Assist in ordering, inventory management, and receiving food deliveries Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain organization and cleanliness Monitor food quality and presentation to provide an appealing dining experience Adapt to special dietary needs and preferences of residents Support scheduling and training of kitchen team members as needed

Requirements Qualifications:
Proven cooking experience, preferably in a healthcare or assisted living setting Knowledge of food safety standards and protocols (ServSafe certification preferred) Ability to prepare meals that meet dietary restrictions and resident preferences Strong organizational and multitasking skills Positive attitude and teamwork skills Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays as needed
