Job Description

This is a summer position located a residential camp in Western, Massachusetts.
GENERAL DUTIES
The Chef (Special Diets) will prepare meals for campers and staff who require special diets. This position will report to the Head Chef and collaborate with the Camp Director.
QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years experience cooking in a school or restaurant environment Experience cooking for clientele with food allergies Professional schooling and/or training desired Physically healthy, able to lift 50 lbs., be active/on feet 10 hours per day, 6 days per week Smoke-free and alcohol-free environment Serv Safe certification

Head Chef
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Prepare daily meals for campers and staff Follow the meal plan of every camper and staff with food allergies Ensure sanitation in the kitchen and the quality of the food being served Ensure that meals are prepared and served on time. Meet with campers at the beginning of each session to ensure they understand meal serving protocols Follow all Food Allergy Protocols in the kitchen No peanuts/tree nuts/sesame/shellfish in the kitchen. Communicate and coordinate with Head Chef on inventory and ordering to ensure desired products are stocked in the kitchen Supervises the Dietetic Intern As space permits, children may attend camp reduced tuition as campers. Seeking an exceptional chef with 2+ years of experience. Must be available early June - late August.
