Job Description
Lawrence General Hospital Sous Chef Lawrence, MA Apply At Merrimack Health, we are committed to pay transparency and equity. The base salary range for this position is $21.82-$32.74, excluding fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Your final base salary will be determined based on your education, experience, licensure, and internal equity considerations. Offers are typically made below the top of the range to support future salary growth. Eligible employees may also participate in comprehensive benefits, including health coverage, paid time off, and wage increase programs, depending on position type (full-time, part-time, or per diem) and applicable eligibility criteria.
Position Summary:
Sous Chef, Nutritional Services. Full-time 40 Hours per Week. Various shifts at Lawrence campus The Sous Chef will manage Food & Nutrition operations, including patient dining, retail food, and catering. The Sous Chef will be a dynamic team player with a strong background in managing frontline staff and developing teams in a culinary environment. The Sous Chef will assist with overseeing all culinary operations for the department. The Sous Chef will be an experienced leader with a proven ability to foster culture and mentor frontline staff, have a passion for the culinary arts, and have an energetic and hands-on work ethic.EDUCATION AND RELATED EXPERIENCE
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 5 years' experience in a kitchen setting
- 1 year experience in a supervisory, lead, or Sous Chef capacity
- ServSafe certified.
Preferred:
- Knowledgeable in the processes of Lean
- Associates degree or higher
- Healthcare food service experience
