Job Description

Executive Chef - Full Time, days Join, stay, and grow with Benchmark. Connect with your calling. The Commons in Lincoln, a premier CCRC campus within Benchmark, is looking for an experienced, full-time Executive Chef to join our Independent Living team! As a leader in Dining, your main role will be to ensure that quality meals are consistently provided to our residents. You will be part of a team of dedicated, like-minded individuals whose support and camaraderie build community, and where long-lasting relationships with both associates and residents await. ResponsibilitiesDirect and oversee all back-of-the-house activity including food procurement, production and food presentation.

Meet or exceed food services standards, budgetary requirements and manage kitchen operations.

Utilizing strong interpersonal skills, train and inspire the culinary staff to consistently produce a high-quality product matched with exceptional presentation.

RequirementsEducation - High School diploma and culinary school degree or equivalent certificate preferredFive (5) years of experience in a Sous Chef or equivalent roleDemonstrated interest in the elderly and knowledgeable about servicing their needs in a culinary settingHave demonstrated back-of-the-house leadership experiencePossess excellent communication skills, bi-lingual preferredCurrent ServSafe certificate or equivalentAs a community associate at Benchmark, you will have access to a variety of benefits including, but not limited to, the following: 8 holidays & 3 floating holidays Discounted Meal Program Paid Training & Company-provided Uniforms Associate Referral Bonus Program Physical & Mental Health Wellness Programs 401k Retirement Plan with Company Match
