Job Description

Overview We are seeking a passionate and skilled chef/assistant pitmaster to join our dynamic culinary team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your expertise in food preparation, smoking techniques, and kitchen management while contributing to a vibrant hospitality environment. As a key member of our culinary operation, you will lead by example, ensuring exceptional food quality and hospitality that pleases our guests . Your energetic approach and leadership skills will help foster a collaborative team atmosphere and elevate our culinary offerings to new heights. Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of dishes with a focus on barbecue, smoked meats, sides and desserts ensuring consistency and high standards. Assist in managing the pit area, including maintaining optimal temperature controls and overseeing smoking processes. Supervise kitchen staff during shifts, providing guidance on food production, safety procedures, and food handling practices. Oversee inventory control for food supplies and minimize waste through efficient management. Collaborate with the culinary team on menu planning, recipe development, and presentation standards to enhance guest experience. Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation standards across all kitchen operations. Support catering events and banquet functions by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality and presentation. Qualifications Proven experience in barbecue, high volume and fast paced kitchens, or large-scale food production environments. Demonstrated supervisory or team management experience within a kitchen or hospitality setting. Strong background in dietary department operations, catering, restaurant management, or food service management. Extensive culinary experience with skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, inventory management, and kitchen organization. Knowledge of food safety standards and practices related to the food industry; certification preferred. Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively. Familiarity with menu planning, shift management, and restaurant operations is highly desirable. Pay:
$55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
