Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sous Chef / line cook to oversee culinary operations in a fast-paced, high-quality dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional food experiences. This role involves managing kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining efficient kitchen operations to support the restaurant's reputation for excellence. Duties Supervise daily kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure high-quality standards are met consistently. Lead and manage kitchen staff, including scheduling shifts, training new team members, and fostering a positive team environment. Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies, controlling food costs, and maintaining accurate stock levels. Plan menus in collaboration with executive chefs or management, incorporating dietary considerations and catering requirements. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety protocols and sanitation standards. Assist in managing kitchen budgets, labor costs, and operational efficiencies to optimize overall performance. Support the implementation of new culinary techniques and menu innovations to enhance customer satisfaction. Requirements Proven experience in fine dining with a strong background in food production and kitchen management. Supervising experience with demonstrated leadership skills in a fast-paced culinary environment. Extensive culinary experience including food handling, food safety certifications, and menu planning expertise. Knowledge of inventory control, cost management, and food service management practices. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Excellent communication skills to lead a diverse team and coordinate with other departments such as catering or dietary services. Experience in restaurant management or hospitality industry preferred. Ability to work under pressure during busy service hours while maintaining attention to detail. Passion for culinary arts with a focus on quality service and customer satisfaction. Pay:
$51,784.18 - $62,363.74 per year
