Full-time As an Executive Chef, do you have some of these same industry problems in your current job: Your staffing is poor, shorthanded, you are coming in on your days off We are fully staffed Communication at your restaurant is poor, nobody knows what's happening We have weekly calls and quarterly reviews There are no financial rewards if the restaurant does better than expected We offer profit sharing with checks paid every month Your work isn't enjoyable We like to say, we are serious about what we do, but we don't take ourselves too seriously Your job has a terrible quality of life We work 50 hours per week with two weekdays off in a row You don't have the opportunity to help develop new menu items and express your creativity You would work with our Culinary Director in Newburyport and LA food consultant on biweekly specials and seasonal menu changes There is too much paperwork We break our food cost into 8 categories so we know exactly where we are, and also have also systems for managing labor and sales, but not too much paperwork You have no benefits We offer medical insurance and vacation pay This is not to say we don't have problems.

The Cottage (www.cottagewellesley.com) has been a Wellesley tradition for 17 years. Food brand is light, fresh and clean based on our experience as the owners of a successful restaurant in La Jolla, California for 20 years. The front of house management team has been with the company for over 8 years and has a great reputation in the local community. Candidate must have previous experience running a full-service kitchen.
