Job Summary The Executive Chef at the Baltimore Convention Center leads all culinary operations, driving food quality, innovation, team development, and financial performance. This role is responsible for creating exceptional guest experiences through menu development, operational excellence, and strong leadership while ensuring compliance with all food safety and sanitation standards. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop the culinary team to achieve high performance and engagement. Oversee all culinary operations, ensuring quality, consistency, safety, and sanitation standards. Manage food and labor costs, budgets, inventory, purchasing, scheduling, and forecasting. Develop and update menus based on guest preferences, industry trends, and financial objectives. Partner with operations, sales, finance, and purchasing teams to support business goals and event execution. Ensure efficient kitchen operations, equipment maintenance, and adherence to company procedures. Support revenue growth through guest engagement, community involvement, and social media initiatives. Deliver training, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning for culinary team members. Qualifications 5+ years of culinary leadership experience. Culinary degree preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, inventory, and kitchen operations. Proven financial and business acumen. High level of computer proficiency. Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills. Passion for hospitality, food, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. Social media experience preferred.
