In this role, you will be responsible for preparing authentic, high-quality sushi and Japanese dishes that delight our guests. Your expertise in culinary techniques, food presentation, and food safety will ensure an exceptional dining experience. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food handling. Duties Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, and Japanese dishes with precision and artistry, ensuring consistency and quality in every plate Develop and refine menu offerings, incorporating fresh ingredients and innovative presentation styles Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures at all times Manage ingredient inventory, monitor freshness, and coordinate with suppliers for timely deliveries Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow during busy service hours Uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards in the sushi station and overall kitchen area Assist in training junior staff on sushi preparation techniques, knife skills, and proper food handling practices Qualifications Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar culinary role within a restaurant or fine dining setting Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine, sushi preparation techniques, and food industry best practices Exceptional knife skills with the ability to handle delicate fish and seafood efficiently Experience in menu planning, food presentation, and catering is highly desirable Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper sanitation procedures Previous work in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is a plus but not required Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team Join us if you're eager to bring your culinary talents to life in a vibrant environment where your skills will shine!
