Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate has experience preparing high-quality sushi and Japanese cuisine, maintains excellent food safety standards, and thrives in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Responsibilities Prepare sushi rolls, sashimi, nigiri, and other Japanese dishes with precision and consistency Ensure freshness and quality of all ingredients Maintain clean and organized workstations in accordance with health and safety regulations Manage food preparation and kitchen inventory Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff Create visually appealing presentations for all dishes Monitor portion control and minimize food waste Assist with menu development and seasonal specials when needed Requirements Previous experience as a Sushi Chef or Sushi Cook Strong knife skills and knowledge of sushi preparation techniques Understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment Excellent attention to detail and presentation Team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Benefits Competitive pay Opportunities for growth and advancement Employee meals and dining discounts Supportive team environment
