Exempt Salary:
$65,000-$75,000 annually (based on experience) Job Description Seeking an experienced Sous Chef to support leadership of a high-volume, quality-driven kitchen in a large restaurant/pub environment. This is a hands-on role for a chef who excels in fast-paced service, leads by example, and is committed to consistency, team development, and strong execution. Responsibilities Support daily BOH operations in a high-volume service environment Maintain high standards for food quality, consistency, and presentation Lead and actively participate on the line during peak service periods Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and developing BOH team members Enforce food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards Support management of food and labor costs through ordering, inventory, prep, and waste control Execute menu items, specials, and seasonal features in partnership with Chef leadership Communicate effectively with FOH leadership to ensure smooth, coordinated service Uphold SOPs and performance expectations Help foster a professional, accountable, and respectful kitchen culture Qualifications Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a Sous Chef or strong kitchen leadership role, preferably in a large restaurant or pub setting Proven ability to work in high-volume environments while maintaining quality standards Strong line skills with the ability to lead from the front during service Solid understanding of food cost, labor control, and inventory management Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (ServSafe certification required or obtainable) Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and peak seasonal periods Culinary degree preferred but not required Compensation & Benefits $65,000-$75,000 annual salary , based on experience Structured systems and operational support Professional, fast-paced, team-oriented work environment
