Job Description

Junior Sous Chef At Talbot Country Club Talbot Country Club is seeking a motivated and passionate Junior Sous Chef to join our culinary team. This full-time hourly position is an excellent opportunity for a culinary professional looking to grow their career in a fast-paced private club environment focused on elevated dining, member events, and exceptional hospitality. The Junior Sous Chef will work closely with the Executive Chef and culinary leadership team to support daily kitchen operations, maintain high food quality standards, and help deliver outstanding dining experiences for our members and guests. Responsibilities Assist with daily kitchen operations and food production Prepare and execute high-quality dishes in a timely manner Support banquet, event, and à la carte service operations Maintain consistency in presentation, portioning, and flavor profiles Help oversee line cooks and kitchen staff during service Ensure cleanliness, organization, and proper sanitation procedures throughout the kitchen Assist with inventory management, receiving, and product rotation Follow all food safety and health department standards Contribute creative ideas for specials, menus, and seasonal offerings Work collaboratively with the front-of-house and culinary teams to provide exceptional member experiences Qualifications Previous culinary or kitchen leadership experience preferred Strong work ethic and positive attitude Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays Culinary degree or formal training is a plus, but not required Passion for hospitality and continuous learning Compensation & Benefits Full-time hourly position Competitive hourly pay based on experience Opportunities for advancement and professional development Employee meals provided during shifts Supportive and team-oriented work environment Talbot Country Club is proud to provide a professional, hospitality-driven culture focused on excellence, teamwork, and member service.
