- Part-time, Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and professional Sauté Cook to join our culinary team.
This position requires strong technical cooking ability, excellent timing, attention to detail, and the ability to execute multiple dishes simultaneously in a high-volume kitchen. The ideal candidate has experience working on a busy sauté station and can consistently produce high-quality dishes under pressure. Candidates must be fast, precise, and organized to keep up with the demands of a busy kitchen while ensuring high-quality food. Must have a minimum of 2 years on saute or grill station cooking a variety of seafood, pasta, chicken dishes from scratch. Pay is commensurate with experience. Pay will start at a base... but show us what you can do and we'll be happy to increase it!
Duties Station Set Up & Break Down:
Ensure your station is set up for the day. Proactively prep ingredients as needed for service to include: stocking, prep, labeling, and rotation of ingredients. Monitor your inventory levels and restock throughout the day Prepare and execute all sauté station menu items according to chef specifications and plating standards Manage multiple tickets and coordinate timing with other cooking stations to ensure accurate and timely service Maintain cleanliness, and enforce proper food handling. This can include, but is not limited to, heating, holding, cooling, storage, labeling, dating, vacuum sealing, and general cleaning Work efficiently during high-volume periods while maintaining composure, speed, and accuracy
Qualifications:
Preferably a minimum 2 years of experience on grill or saute stations Proven saute experience on a line with ability to prepare upper scale cuisine with an emphasis on presentation and quality standards Previous leadership experience as a line cook or kitchen supervisor is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of food safety practices, proper food handling, and sanitation regulations Ability to read and execute tickets quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment Must be able to work weekends and some holidays Strong attention to detail, organization, and cleanliness Ability to multitask and prioritize during busy service periods Ability to stand for extended periods Join us if you're ready to lead with energy, elevate culinary excellence, and create memorable dining experiences!
