Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional flavor experiences. This role involves overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. The ideal candidate will bring energetic leadership, creative menu planning, and a strong background in cafe and catering environments. As a Chef, you will inspire your team to excel while maintaining efficient inventory control and fostering a vibrant, hospitality-driven atmosphere. Responsibilities Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations and uphold high standards of food quality and presentation Plan specials and update menus that reflect our mission, of locally sourced food, made fresh daily. Oversee food production processes, including food handling, preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure consistency and safety Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and maintain rigorous sanitation standards across the kitchen Qualifications Proven experience in fine dining settings with strong culinary skills in food preparation and presentation Demonstrated supervisory experience leading kitchen teams effectively in fast-paced environments Extensive knowledge of food safety protocols, dietary requirements, and sanitation standards Background in catering, or restaurant management is highly desirable Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills to motivate and guide staff Experience with inventory management, cost control, and menu planning to maximize operational efficiency Familiarity with hospitality industry standards including food service management, kitchen operations, and customer service excellence
