Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a talented and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team and oversee all kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, exceptional leadership skills, and a strong background in menu planning, creativity and restaurant kitchen management. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for recruitment, team building , creating innovative menus, managing inventory, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety. Responsibilities Develop and design creative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends. Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to food safety standards are met. Write schedules for kitchen staff. Negotiate pricing and contracts with vendors. Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste. Hire, train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff to maintain high performance and teamwork. Manage food and labor budgets. Ensure proper food handling techniques are followed by all kitchen personnel. Maintain strong relationships with purveyors for consistency and special sourcing. Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences. Plan and execute private events and parties, ensuring exceptional presentation and service quality. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with health regulations. Foster teamwork and a positive kitchen culture. Conduct regular kitchen inspections. Expediting dishes in a timely manner, guaranteeing every plate leaving kitchen meets Resturant standards. Handling all equipment repairs and scheduled maintenances. Daily food quality control checks. Uphold the Restaurant's brand identity through cuisine. Skills Proven experience in menu planning and execution within a high-volume restaurant environment. Strong inventory management skills with an understanding of cost control measures. Proficient in cooking techniques across various cuisines with a focus on quality presentation. Knowledge of food handling regulations and best practices in the food industry. Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management and staff development. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with staff, vendors, and guests. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
