From our signature smashed patties to wild topping combinations, Chaos Burger is where culinary creativity meets an energetic, urban dining experience. Position Summary The Sous Chef will work closely with the Executive Chef to oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, consistency, and creativity align with the Chaos Burger brand. This role requires a hands-on leader with excellent culinary skills, strong organizational abilities, and the drive to lead a high-energy kitchen team in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Assist the Executive Chef in menu execution, including prep, cooking, and plating to company standards. Oversee kitchen staff during service, ensuring efficient workflow and quality output. Maintain food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards in compliance with local health regulations. Monitor inventory, manage ordering, and minimize waste through proper rotation and storage. Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff to uphold Chaos Burger's culinary and service standards. Support menu development with creative input and seasonal specials. Step in to run the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef. Ensure all dishes are prepared to spec, on time, and with attention to presentation. Qualifications 2+ years of experience as a Sous Chef or lead line cook in a high-volume kitchen, preferably in a fast-casual or upscale burger concept. Strong cooking skills, with expertise in grill work, sauces, and creative plating. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Strong leadership and communication skills. Knowledge of inventory control and cost management. ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain). Passion for bold flavors, innovative recipes, and delivering an unforgettable dining experience.
