We are looking for a creative and organized Pastry Chef to lead and elevate our pastry program with fresh baked goods, seasonal features, and consistent execution. Position Summary The Pastry Chef is responsible for preparing, baking, and presenting high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods for daily café operations. This role oversees pastry production, recipe development, inventory management, food safety standards, and kitchen organization while maintaining consistency and efficiency in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Prepare and bake pastries, muffins, cookies, cakes, croissants, breads, and other café baked goods Develop seasonal pastry menus and rotating specialty items Maintain consistency in recipes, portioning, presentation, and quality Manage daily production schedules to ensure product availability and freshness Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering ingredients and supplies Ensure compliance with sanitation, food safety, and health department standards Train and support kitchen staff on pastry preparation and baking procedures Minimize waste and maintain cost-effective production practices Collaborate with management on menu planning and special events Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen workspace Qualifications Previous experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or similar role preferred Knowledge of baking techniques, pastry preparation, and dessert presentation Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-volume environment Creative mindset with attention to detail Food safety certification preferred Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods of time Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Opportunities for growth within the company Employee discounts Supportive and collaborative team environment
