Job Description

Job Overview Ebenezer is looking for a Cook/Chef to join our team at Jones-Harrison.

This position is responsible for preparing and cooking meals as assigned using standardized recipes to meet established culinary standards of high-quality care. Culinary position will plate food for optimal eye appeal to entice food consumption by our residents in our Senior Living Community located in Minneapolis, MN. This full-time culinary services position includes; 64 hours per two weeks Day/ evening shift Every other weekend Celebrating 135 years of service, Jones-Harrison Senior Living is conveniently located close to the metro bus stops off Cedar Lake Ave./Drew Ave. S. and Cedar Lake Ave./France Ave. S. in Minneapolis. The Jones-Harrison community offers Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing and Long-Term Care with a beautiful view of Cedar Lake and pristine grounds . This community features 53 Assisted living, 9 memory care apartments, 120 skilled and long term care beds. Responsibilities:
Preparation of meals by following standardized recipes Handles and prepares food in a safe manner following policies and infection control and safety standards. Ensure timely production and meal service is provided to residents Set up line service Clean and sanitize equipment and work area after each use Assists with special events Assists the Culinary Director with supervision and training of culinary staff
Required:
ServSafe certification, or must be acquired within 90 days of start date Basic math skills and comfortable using Microsoft applications Must have good problem-solving and time leadership skills Good written and oral communication skills Must be 18 years of age or older
Preferred:
