Wage Range:

$21.14 - $24.50, we honor based on years of relevant experience Job description: As a Culinary Service Chef at Samaritan Bethany, you will: Prepares meals in accordance with planned menu, and in accordance with sanitary regulations and organization policies and procedures. Prepares food for therapeutic diets in accordance with planned menus and production sheets. Prepares food in accordance with standardized recipes and special diet orders. Responsible to ensure that food is prepared, cooked, or stored under appropriate temperatures and with safe food handling techniques. Prepares food in a form to meet individual needs of the residents. Ensures that food storage areas are clean and properly arranged at all times. Ensures that food and supplies for the next meal are thawed and prepared in advance as needed

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required One year of experience as a cook preferred, especially within a long term care facility or hospital. One year of experience supervising staff, preferably in culinary services. Knowledge of the basic skills, techniques, and fundamentals of food service management, quality food production and therapeutic nutrition.
