Full Job Description Position Overview:
Lake Forest Country Club is seeking a talented and motivated Sous Chef to join our culinary team. This role is ideal for a passionate professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-quality kitchen environment and is committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our members and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations Supervise and mentor kitchen staff to ensure consistency and excellence Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and cleanliness Support menu planning, recipe development, and seasonal offerings Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control measures Step in to lead the kitchen in the Executive Chef's absence
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a leadership role Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen operations Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Passion for hospitality and delivering high-quality cuisine
