Summary
The Seasonal Assistant Pastry Chef supports the pastry operation by assisting with the preparation, production, and presentation of high-quality pastries, desserts, breads, and specialty items. This role works closely with the Pastry Chef and culinary leadership team to maintain exceptional standards, ensure consistency, and provide support during periods of increased business demand.
The ideal candidate has a strong pastry background, attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume culinary environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the daily production and preparation of pastries, desserts, breads, and other bakery items.
Support the Pastry Chef in executing menus, recipes, and presentation standards.
oversee pastry team members and provide guidance, training, and support as needed.
Ensure all products meet quality, consistency, and presentation expectations.
Assist with inventory management, ordering, and proper product rotation.
Maintain cleanliness,anization, and sanitation standards throughout the pastry kitchen.
Follow all food safety procedures and ensurepliance with health regulations.
Support banquet, restaurant, and special event pastry production needs.
Assist with menu development, seasonal offerings, and creative pastry concepts.
manage daily operations during the absence of the Pastry Chef.
Qualifications
Previous pastry, baking, or culinary experience required; leadership experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, and dessert production.
Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume kitchen environment.
Stronganizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to lead, motivate, and work collaboratively with a culinary team.
Culinary degree or formal pastry training preferred, but not required.
Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
