Applications without a cover letter will not be reviewed. Are you a leader who thrives in both the heat of the kitchen and the energy of the dining room? Do you believe great food and great service go hand in hand—whether it's 12 AM or 12 PM? If you're passionate about building a community through exceptional hospitality and high-quality food, we want you on our team. At Queeny's, we cultivate a culture of belonging and connection between staff, guests, the city and surrounding community. We care about how our spaces make people feel - we aim to delight, inspire, comfort, and nourish We're looking for an Executive Chef, a leader who will oversee kitchen operations with the precision of a chef, drive service with the presence of a manager, and command the pass like a top-tier expediter. This person will champion a culture of belonging, delight, inspiration, community, and inclusion—with a strong commitment to uplifting the LGBTQ+ community and women.
What You'll Do:
Oversee both kitchen operations and front-of-house culture, ensuring they work in sync. Lead all hiring efforts, especially for BOH positions. Work with the General Manager to drive a strong, positive, and professional culture among both FOH and BOH teams to create a cohesive culture of mutual respect, collaboration, kindness, cleanliness Mentor and develop team members, teaching skills and building up the next generation of leaders. Balance hard skills (kitchen operations, ordering, efficiency) with soft skills (leadership, mentorship, and guest experience).
What We're Looking For:
A seasoned professional who thrives in both the kitchen and on the floor, handling service, leadership, and operations with equal ease. Someone with a high work ethic who takes ownership and pushes themselves (so much so, we might have to say, "Hey, slow down, buddy"). A self-motivated leader who balances high standards with a positive, team-first mentality. A problem solver who stays cool under pressure and finds solutions on the fly. Someone who understands and loves late-night service—ensuring consistency, quality, and hospitality all the way through closing. A mentor and builder—excited to grow their team, teach skills, and create a kitchen where people want to work. A strategic thinker who can manage operations but also values the people-side of the business just as much. Someone who sees this as an opportunity to grow with a company that will invest in them.
What We Offer:
