Duties Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards, ensuring consistency and excellence in every plate. Assist in supervising kitchen staff, providing guidance on food preparation, safety protocols, and efficient workflow to promote a cohesive team environment. Oversee food production processes, including inventory control, portioning, and waste reduction to optimize kitchen efficiency. Support menu planning and development by contributing creative ideas that align with culinary trends and customer preferences. Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations, proper handling procedures, and sanitation standards to ensure a safe dining environment. Collaborate with the catering and banquet teams to coordinate large-scale events, ensuring timely delivery of quality dishes. Manage shift operations, including scheduling, inventory management, and ensuring smooth communication between front-of-house and back-of-house teams. Skills Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in fine dining environments. Proven supervisory experience leading kitchen teams effectively while fostering a positive work atmosphere. Demonstrated expertise in food production, food handling, and kitchen management practices. Knowledge of dietary requirements and experience working within dietary departments or specialized menus. Strong skills in inventory management, inventory control, and cost-conscious food management strategies. Excellent cooking skills across various cuisines with an emphasis on presentation and flavor balance. Experience in catering operations, banquet service, and large-scale food service management. Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate team members and manage shift operations efficiently. Familiarity with food safety standards such as HACCP or local health regulations.
