Hour Shifts:
6:00 AM - 6:00
PM Typical Schedule:
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Every Other Weekend Required What You'll Do As our Chef, you'll play an essential role in supporting resident wellness and satisfaction through quality meals and excellent dining experiences.
Responsibilities include:
Preparing nutritious, flavorful meals that follow physician-ordered dietary guidelines and resident preferences Ensuring consistency, quality, and attractive meal presentation Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment Assisting with meal service and creating a positive dining atmosphere Supporting dietary aides with food prep, serving, dishwashing, and kitchen cleanup as needed Following all food safety, sanitation, and storage procedures Collaborating with the dietary team to ensure smooth kitchen operations and resident satisfaction Participating in ongoing education related to food safety, nutrition, and healthcare dining standards What We're Looking For Previous Chef experience required Healthcare dining experience strongly preferred: Skilled Nursing Rehabilitation Long-Term Care Assisted Living Healthcare Food Service Knowledge of therapeutic diets, food safety, and sanitation standards Food Handler Permit and/or ServSafe Certification required Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills Compassionate attitude and genuine passion for serving others through food A Career with Purpose At Old Mill Rehabilitation, we understand the impact a thoughtfully prepared meal can have on someone's recovery, comfort, and overall well-being.
