Job Description

Job Overview We are on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Sous Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic kitchen environment and is eager to lead with creativity and precision. As an integral part of our kitchen management, you'll oversee daily food production, ensure top-notch food quality, and support the overall smooth operation of our restaurant or catering services. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in fine dining, banquet service, and team supervision, all while maintaining high standards of food safety and hospitality. Duties Lead food preparation and cooking activities, ensuring dishes meet established quality standards and presentation expectations. Supervise kitchen staff during shifts, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a collaborative team environment. Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs. Oversee food safety protocols, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices to ensure compliance with health regulations. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating dietary considerations and innovative culinary techniques for diverse guest preferences. Coordinate with catering and banquet departments to deliver exceptional service during large events or special functions. Support kitchen management in shift scheduling, operational troubleshooting, and maintaining a positive work atmosphere. Experience Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a supervisory culinary role within a busy restaurant or catering environment. Extensive background in fine dining service, banquet operations, and food production processes. Strong leadership skills with demonstrated success in supervising teams and managing kitchen operations effectively. Familiarity with inventory management systems, food safety standards (such as HACCP), and kitchen equipment maintenance. Hands-on experience in menu planning, food presentation, and catering logistics. Knowledge of diverse culinary styles along with excellent cooking skills across various cuisines. Prior experience working in hospitality settings that emphasize exceptional service delivery and attention to detail.
