Job Description

Position Summary:
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Sous Chef for Dining Services. Among the key duties of this position are the following: Oversees food production, ensuring that all food is produced in a timely manner to meet needs, and is presented in an attractive and appealing style. Oversees kitchen personnel in the production of hot and cold food, in the cleaning of food preparation areas, and in the control of food costs.
Minimum Education and Experience:
High school/vocational school education or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience and a minimum of four years of high volume food service experience.

Industrial kitchen equipment. FoodPro proprietary food production, planning and control system.
Special Conditions:
Multiple vacancies Candidates must pass a written test during the first-round interview. During the second round interview, candidates will be expected to participate in a practical to demonstrate their culinary skills. All job offers are contingent upon successful pre-employment background screening and physical exam.
