Chef Wildwood, NJ 08260 $22.00 - $30.67 an hour - Part-time, Full-time, Contract $22.00 - $30.67 an hour - Part-time, Full-time, Contract Job Summary Hello and thanks for looking at my job I'm looking for a chef to help me design a menu for a Bar and Grill located in Wildwood NJ. This is a new place seats about 60 people inside And 20 outside on the veranda. Your job description includes designing of the menu, Setting up the kitchen for the menu , (Type of equipment needed, Organizing of the stations and the layout Of the kitchen.) We have equipment there already However if you should need another different piece we will go ahead and purchase anything that we need. Your job description also includes training additional staff to help in the kitchen and The wait staff. This could be a full or a part time job, For instance you may come in Help Us Design the menu , Layout the kitchen, Put the food ingredients list together and train Line cooks kitchen staff and wait staff staff. And just work two or three hours a day. This could allow you to work another evening job as a professional chef in another restaurant. Or stay with us for a full 8 or a 10 hour day and do all the cooking on the line and run the kitchen. Once again I'm flexible with the hours so this could be a good opportunity for any professional chef. Duties Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service delivery Plan and develop innovative menus that align with culinary trends and guest preferences Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain high quality standards Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, stock rotation, and minimizing waste Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations and proper handling procedures Coordinate catering events and banquet services with precision and professionalism Supervise shift operations, including staffing schedules, training, and performance management Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and restrictions Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen environment at all times Experience Proven experience in food production within a restaurant or hospitality setting, with a focus on fine dining or catering Demonstrated supervisory experience managing kitchen teams effectively Extensive background in banquet experience and large-scale food service operations Strong knowledge of inventory management, food handling safety protocols, and kitchen management systems Familiarity with menu planning, food service management, and catering logistics Experience working in the food industry with a focus on culinary excellence and customer satisfaction Leadership skills that motivate teams, foster collaboration, and drive continuous improvement Knowledge of dietary requirements and ability to adapt menus accordingly Previous restaurant experience emphasizing food safety standards and hospitality excellence Join us to lead a vibrant culinary team where your creativity fuels memorable dining experiences!
