This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of food preparation, menu planning, and kitchen management for large-scale events, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and presentation. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for fine dining, strong leadership skills, and extensive experience in managing culinary operations within a hospitality or food service environment. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the banquet and catering kitchen team, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment. Develop innovative menus tailored to event themes, dietary requirements, and client preferences while maintaining cost efficiency. Oversee food production processes, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards, presentation expectations, and safety regulations. Manage inventory control, procurement, and stock levels to optimize food costs and minimize waste. Coordinate with event planners and service staff to ensure seamless execution of catering services from setup to cleanup. Enforce strict adherence to food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and health regulations across all culinary operations. Train staff on food handling, preparation techniques, and service procedures to uphold excellence in food quality and customer satisfaction. Requirements Extensive banquet and catering experience with a proven track record in high-volume catering or large event settings. Supervising experience with strong leadership capabilities in managing culinary teams. Background in dietary department operations, including special dietary accommodations and nutritional considerations. Solid knowledge of food production, menu planning, and kitchen management within fine dining or upscale hospitality environments. Demonstrated expertise in inventory management, cost control, and food safety practices. Proficiency in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food service management principles. Experience with restaurant or catering management systems as well as shift coordination. Strong organizational skills with the ability to oversee multiple events simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
