In this role, you will be instrumental in preparing authentic sushi and Japanese dishes, ensuring each plate meets our high standards of quality and presentation. Whether you're leading the sushi station or assisting with food prep, your energy and culinary skills will contribute to creating an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Duties Prepare and assemble sushi rolls, sashimi, and other Japanese delicacies with precision and artistry Assist in the daily setup and breakdown of the sushi station, maintaining cleanliness and organization Follow food safety protocols to ensure all ingredients are handled properly and stored correctly Support the kitchen team with food preparation, including slicing fish, preparing rice, and assembling ingredients Maintain high standards of food presentation, ensuring each dish is visually appealing and consistent Help with inventory management by checking supplies and notifying supervisors of stock needs Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting fellow staff members during busy service hours Qualifications Previous experience in a culinary setting, particularly in sushi preparation or Japanese cuisine, is highly preferred Knowledge of food handling safety standards and proper sanitation practices Strong knife skills for slicing fish, vegetables, and other ingredients accurately Experience in food service or restaurant environments demonstrating efficiency under pressure Familiarity with menu planning and meal preparation within a fast-paced kitchen setting Ability to follow recipes meticulously while maintaining attention to detail Enthusiasm for learning new culinary techniques and contributing to a dynamic team atmosphere Join us to bring your culinary talents to life!
