This is a new role for our small growing company so specific responsibilities and job description will depend on the candidate. We're looking for someone who can take the production responsibility of our patisserie style desserts off the shoulders of our founder. There is a ton of room for growth for the right person and a number of ways this position could be structured. If you're skilled in and passionate about pastry, particularly French style patisserie, we encourage you to apply and look forward to learning more about you and discussing what this position might look like! Duties May Include Prepare a variety of pastries, cakes, tarts, and confections with precision Ensure all baked goods meet quality standards, food safety regulations, and consistency expectations Assist in food production and food preparation tasks to support overall kitchen operations Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to food handling and safety protocols Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new dessert recipes and seasonal offerings for our pastry, gelato, tea, and other products Maintain inventory of ingredients and/or place orders with suppliers Requirements Proven pastry experience with a strong portfolio of baked goods and desserts Solid knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and kitchen hygiene practices Experience in food production, bakery, catering, or restaurant environments preferred Excellent knife skills and high-level proficiency in baking and pastry techniques Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Strong communication skills and a positive team-oriented attitude Excellent organizational and time-management skills and ability to effectively prioritize tasks Knowledge of food industry trends and a passion for culinary innovation and personal growth Join us as a Pastry Chef and bring your creativity to life through delectable desserts!
