Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Catering Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional catering experiences for a variety of events and occasions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise, oversee food production, and manage all aspects of catering operations. The Catering Chef will be responsible for menu planning, food preparation, kitchen management, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Duties Lead the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes tailored to diverse catering events, including banquets and special occasions Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, food handlers, and support personnel, fostering teamwork and maintaining a positive work environment Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste to ensure cost-effective operations Oversee all aspects of food safety compliance, adhering to health regulations and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen environment Collaborate with event planners and clients to develop customized menus that meet dietary needs and preferences while ensuring culinary excellence Coordinate shift schedules, monitor food production timelines, and ensure timely delivery of meals for events Oversee food service management during events, ensuring smooth operation from setup to cleanup while maintaining high standards of hospitality and service quality Qualifications Proven experience in off premise catering, or large-scale food production environments with a strong background in culinary arts Supervising experience in a fast-paced kitchen or catering setting with demonstrated leadership skills Knowledge of dietary requirements and experience working with dietary departments or special dietary menus Expertise in food handling, safety protocols, inventory management, and kitchen operations Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster collaboration Excellent menu planning abilities combined with creativity in food presentation Familiarity with restaurant or hospitality management systems and shift coordination processes Culinary certification or relevant training in food industry standards is preferred Join us as a Catering Chef where your culinary talents will shine!
