Responsibilities:
Responsible for assisting the Food Service Manager with preparing the department's yearly budget and working within the budget's constraints. Direct kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and cleanup Assist in overseeing food service needs for the Daycare to ensure all needs are being met. Assign tasks and duties, supervise attendants, cooks, stewarding, volunteers, and specialty department coordinators. Assist in menu planning, ordering, and implementing donations from outside resources to create a nutritional and healthy menu. Maintain an open relationship with all vendors, and donation providers through deliveries and communication. Resolve any issues as they arise. Bring issues to the attention of the Food and Beverage Manager. Maintain all kitchen reports, such as all temperature logs and meal counts. Always uphold a clean environment and be in a state of readiness for all inspections.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
High School degree or GED minimum. Associate degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years culinary experience. Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience SERV Safe certified Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and MSDS information. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office.
