PASTRY CHEF - RESERVE STEAKHOUSE BY CHEF DARIAN BRYAN
Buffalo, NY Reserve Steakhouse by Chef Darian Bryan is seeking a talented, creative, and highly organized Pastry Chef to join our opening leadership team. This is an opportunity to help shape the dessert identity of one of Buffalo's premier luxury dining destinations. We are building a high-level hospitality experience centered around exceptional food, refined service, and unforgettable guest experiences. The ideal candidate is passionate about craftsmanship, detail-oriented, thrives in high standards environments, and has experience executing elevated plated desserts, breads, specialty items, and seasonal offerings.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Pastry Chef will lead the pastry and dessert program while working closely with Chef Darian Bryan and culinary leadership to develop a sophisticated and memorable pastry experience that complements a luxury steakhouse environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and execute elevated dessert menus, seasonal features, and specialty offerings Create refined plated desserts with strong visual presentation and consistency Produce breads, specialty baked goods, sauces, creams, and pastry components Manage dessert prep, inventory, ordering, and food cost controls Maintain organization, cleanliness, and sanitation standards in pastry areas Train and mentor pastry team members while maintaining performance standards Ensure consistency, quality, and execution during service Collaborate with culinary leadership on menu development and guest experiences Assist with private dining, events, tasting menus, and VIP experiences
QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of pastry experience in upscale, fine dining, hotel, steakhouse, or luxury hospitality environments preferred Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking science, chocolate work, plated desserts, and bread production Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, high-expectation kitchen Strong organizational and time management skills Creative mindset with attention to detail and presentation Leadership experience preferred
