Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Sous Chef to join our vibrant culinary team! In this pivotal role, you will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. Duties Assist in supervising all kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and plating to meet quality standards. Lead and motivate culinary staff during shifts, fostering a positive team environment focused on excellence and efficiency. Oversee inventory control and food management to ensure proper stock levels, minimize waste, and maintain cost-effective operations. Coordinate banquet, catering, and special event menus to align with client expectations and restaurant standards. Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation practices across all kitchen areas. Support menu planning by developing new dishes that highlight creativity while maintaining consistency with established recipes. Manage shift schedules, monitor food handling procedures, and oversee kitchen equipment maintenance for smooth daily operations. Requirements Proven experience in dining establishments or similar hospitality environments. Background in food production, culinary techniques, and kitchen management. Familiarity with inventory management systems and cost control strategies within the food industry. Strong understanding of food safety standards, HACCP protocols, and sanitation regulations. Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate staff and coordinate effectively across departments.
