Full Job Description Chef Manager The Role:
We're seeking a Chef Manager to lead our kitchen operations across café service, catering, and private events. This is a hybrid leadership role combining culinary creativity with strong operational oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead day-to-day kitchen operations including prep, service, and closing. Oversee kitchen team, including scheduling, training, and daily supervision. Develop and execute seasonal café menus, catering offerings, and event menus aligned with Gather's brand and values. Manage food costs, inventory, and vendor relationships to ensure quality and profitability. Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standard and in compliance with health and safety regulations. Collaborate with front-of-house, events, and brand team to plan and execute catered and private events. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and professionalism in the kitchen at all times.
The Candidate Has:
Qualifications:
3+ years of culinary leadership experience in a café, catering, or event setting. Strong leadership and communication skills. Excellent time management and ability to multitask across multiple service streams. Experience with ordering, costing, scheduling, and kitchen systems. A deep appreciation for seasonal ingredients, community-focused hospitality, and creative presentation.
