Job Description

Sous Chef/Line Cook Pay:
$37,100.00 - $48,000.00 per year Job Summary We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation. As a Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in maintaining kitchen standards, supervising staff, and contributing to menu development while fostering a positive and efficient work environment. Responsibilities Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and staff management. Supervise food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and consistency. Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste. Train and mentor kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety practices. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food service. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area. Handle shift management duties, including scheduling staff and coordinating workflow. Requirements Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary role. Strong knowledge of food service management principles. Proficiency in food preparation techniques and culinary skills. Experience with inventory control systems and practices. Ability to supervise kitchen staff effectively while fostering teamwork. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills to interact with team members and vendors. Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred.
