Job Description
Pastry Chef A renowned bakery in Akron is seeking a skilled Pastry Chef to join our team. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing delicious pastries, cakes, and other desserts. You must have a passion for baking and be able to provide high-quality products consistently. In addition to culinary skills, you must also have excellent time management and organizational abilities to ensure the smooth operation of our kitchen.
Responsibilities:
Create and prepare various pastries, cakes, and desserts according to recipes and customer requests
Decorate pastries using different techniques to enhance their appearance
Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen at all times
Train new team members on pastry techniques and recipes
Collaborate with other chefs to develop new menu items
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
Knowledge of different baking techniques and ingredients
Ability to follow recipes accurately and adapt them as needed
Excellent time management skills
Strong attention to detail
Creativity in designing new pastries and desserts
Team player with good communication skills
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree preferred
Minimum of 3 years experience as a Pastry Chef in a professional kitchen
Salary:
$1400 per month.
