  • Full-time Overview We are seeking a passionate Executive Chef to lead our BOH Operations and elevate our overall dining experience.
This pivotal role requires a visionary leader with a flair for innovative menu creation, exceptional kitchen management skills, and a deep understanding of food safety and hospitality standards. As the Executive Chef, you will oversee all aspects of food preparation, kitchen operations, and team supervision to ensure the delivery of high-quality, memorable dining experiences that delight guests and uphold our brand's reputation. Your energetic leadership will inspire your team to excel and foster a vibrant, collaborative culinary environment. Duties Develop and execute creative menus that align with the establishment's brand. Oversight on daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation standards Lead, motivate, and manage a diverse culinary team through effective supervision, training, and mentorship Oversee inventory control, food ordering, and cost management to optimize profitability while maintaining quality standards Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation practices across all kitchen areas Coordinate catering events and special functions with precision and professionalism Manage shift schedules, monitor kitchen performance metrics, and implement process improvements for efficiency Requirements Proven experience in casual to upscale dining environments with strong culinary skills in food production and presentation Demonstrated supervisory experience managing kitchen staff and leading teams effectively In-depth knowledge of dietary requirements, food handling procedures, and food safety standards (Serv Safe or Always Food Safe Certifications Preferred) Strong background in restaurant management including menu planning, inventory management, and cost control Exceptional leadership qualities with the ability to inspire teams and foster a positive work environment Hands-on experience in food service management within the hospitality or food industry sector Familiarity with kitchen equipment operation, inventory control systems, and culinary techniques Excellent communication skills to coordinate with GM, front-of-house staff and vendors effectively Join Gas Light Bar & Grill where your culinary development meets energetic leadership!
