As a key member of our small bakery, you will be responsible for overseeing savory food preparation and ensure the highest standards of food safety, quality, and presentation. Your expertise in comfort cooking, baking, and food service management will drive the success of our culinary offerings. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your creativity and cooking skills while creating memorable meals that delight our guests. Responsibilities Be able to create exciting and approachable seasonal comfort foods. Interest in different cultures comfort foods and preparations Create monthly rotating menu of sandwiches, salads, snacks and heat n' serve entrees Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, stock rotation, and minimizing waste Ability to work independently Ability to help with counter and barista station when needed Ability to help with pastry production when needed Responsible for maintaining profitable food cost Maintain cleanliness of BOH Requirements Proven experience in commercial kitchens with a strong background in food production and kitchen management Good communication skills and general positive demeanor with a passion for customer satisfaction Extensive knowledge of dietary restrictions, menu planning, and food safety standards Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team effectively Hands-on experience with inventory management, cost control, and food service operations Strong cooking skills across various cuisines with an emphasis on presentation, quality assurance and packaging Familiarity with espresso drink production, baking production, and restaurant POS systems Serve Safe certified or equivalent MOD certification Join us as our Chef to create delicious comfort food while inspiring the team to deliver exceptional experiences.
