Position Overview As Sous Chef , you will serve as a key member of our culinary leadership team, working directly with the Executive Chef to maintain the highest standards of food quality, consistency, and operational excellence. You will help drive daily kitchen operations in one of the most visually stunning and busiest fine-dining kitchens in the Midwest while contributing to menu innovation and team development. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, including line execution, prep, and service during peak volume periods Maintain impeccable standards for food quality, presentation, and consistency across all menu categories (steaks, seafood, raw bar, sushi, and seasonal specials) Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing kitchen team of cooks, prep staff, and stewards Manage inventory, food costs, ordering, and waste reduction while upholding our commitment to premium ingredients Ensure full compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations (ServSafe or equivalent) Collaborate on menu development, seasonal offerings, and special events, including wine dinners in our iconic Vault Step in as Chef de Cuisine or Executive Chef when needed Foster a positive, professional kitchen culture rooted in respect, excellence, and continuous improvement Qualifications Minimum 2 years of Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine experience in high-volume, fine-dining or upscale steakhouse environments (steak and seafood focus strongly preferred) Demonstrated leadership ability with a track record of building and retaining strong kitchen teams Thorough knowledge of kitchen operations, cost control, and inventory management Passion for prime steaks, fresh seafood, raw bar, and contemporary American cuisine Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to perform under pressure ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and a genuine love for hospitality What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience Comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off) Growth opportunities within Savour Hospitality Group, a rapidly expanding collection of acclaimed Cleveland restaurants The chance to work in one of the most beautiful and historic dining rooms in America Access to premium ingredients, an outstanding wine program, and regular collaboration with top winemakers and suppliers A supportive, passionate leadership team committed to excellence and work-life balance where possible This is a rare opportunity to advance your career at a nationally recognized, award-winning restaurant that values creativity, precision, and hospitality at the highest level.
