Job Description

Job Summary Upscale restaurant opening late in 2026 seeking a talented and energetic Executive Chef to lead our culinary team, help develop the opening menu, and deliver exceptional dining experiences. The Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, including ordering, food production, scheduling, and team leadership. This role requires a strong background in the food industry, with a focus on food safety and quality control. The ideal candidate will possess creativity, leadership skills, and a passion for culinary excellence. Duties Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen. Lead kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations. Oversee food production processes to ensure quality and consistency in all dishes served. Collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients while maintaining cost-effectiveness. Monitor inventory levels and manage food costs to minimize waste and maximize profitability. Implement effective shift management practices to ensure smooth kitchen operations during peak hours. Maintain a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth among staff. Requirements Proven experience as an Executive Chef in a restaurant with annual sales over $3M Strong knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and sanitation practices. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills to effectively lead a diverse team and interact with customers when necessary. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business needs. A passion for the culinary arts and a commitment to providing outstanding dining experiences.
